Dear Sailing Friend,

Thank you for your interest in our club!  We are a fun-loving sail group, with over 60 boating families and other associates.  Are you an "old salt?"  You will find lots of experienced cruisers and racers in our midst.  Are you new to San Diego or to sailing?  SDCA is a great place to learn all kinds of technical things about our boats; as well as, local knowledge, racing skills, cruising, navigating, currents, weather, oceanography, ocean life...you name it.  Our group is eager to share our experiences and knowledge with you.

For your convenience, a membership application is on the other side of this page. Annual dues for the San Diego Catalina Association are $30 - a fantastic bargain! Events will be announced at our monthly meetings and in our monthly electronic newsletters.

We meet the first Thursday of the month (except December) at 7:30 PM at the Southwestern Yacht Club in Point Loma.  Often we gather informally prior to the meeting for drinks and/or dinner at the club. Meetings usually include an informative program and news of upcoming events.

We sincerely hope that your membership in our Association will be a long and pleasurable one.  Please let us know if you have any questions or if we can help in any way.  We look forward to seeing you soon!

Happy sailing,

Daniel H. Golembiewski, Commodore

Tips on Catalina's

At all of our cruising events you are invited to board other Catalinas and see how owners have retrofitted their boats to accommodate their needs.

Regular Meetings with Speakers

Meet guest speakers who are experts in fields of boating such as cruisers, riggers, sailmakers, mechanics, marine surveyors, etc, most of whom are well versed in Catalinas.

Social Events

Meetings are proceeded by a board meeting at the Southwestern Yacht Club in Point Loma. Visitors are welcome to join us with a social hour before the guest speaker. Additionally our group schedules local social events such as plays, concerts and more.

Group Discounts

As a Fleet, we have been able to receive product discounts for items bought in quantity.
